The company’s chief executive gave us the following brief:
We do sports betting analysis. Our clients rely on us to maximize their returns and this requires us to be clever, fast and well organized.
We are of small team of around 25 and currently have more data scientists than software developers. But we are growing our development team to consolidate the “plumbing” code for multiple live projects. So this is rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor and take a lead role in the design and delivery of a robust platform for our data analysis and operational needs.
This is an ideal role for someone who feels limited or unchallenged in their current work and would like to deal in person with clients (who sit next to them!) and then write, test and deliver code in a feedback loop of just hours and days. To accomplish this you need three primary qualities:
